Distribution Block Specifications

Distribution Block Type
This specifies what the intended use of the distribution block is. Fused distribution blocks are intended to be used with the power wire and the fuse acts as a short-circuit or surge protection so your amplifier is not as likely to be damaged. Non-fused distribution blocks can used with ground or power wire connections, but the protection on power wire connections will not be present as there is no fuse in the distribution block. Therefore, we recommend your amplifier has an external fuse for short-circuit or surge protection. When using either type of distribution block, it is recommended to use a main fuse holder within 18 inches of the battery.

Will this take a 4 gauge wire for the input ?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2016
Best Answer: If it says it does, then it will. I bought it but I returned it for a different brand but if you take the screw out, there should be a small insert to accommodate for a smaller gauge! Once you pop that out, then it should fit a 4 gauge. But make sure it says what gauges it fits, they usually go from 0-4 or 4-8 or something like that!
