In-Dash 7" LCD Monitor with Touchscreen, BUILT-IN Bluetooth Hands-Free Kit and HD Radio Tuner, Multimedia DVD, CD, MP3 Player, iPod Cable Included, USB, SD Slot and Remote (VM-9512HD)
Connectivity is Jensen's middle name when it comes to the VM9512HD. The VM9512HD virtually plays all disc types (see description below for complete list) and with easy touchscreen controls all features are a finger away. The 7" LCD touchscreen can also control an iPod through the included adapter cable, 4GB worth of music stored on a SD card, digital files from a USB thumb drive or storage device. New for this year is the ability to also add an optional navigation system to the VM9512HD and it also can be controlled by the touchscreen.
Another great connectivity addition for safety and convenience is the built-in Bluetooth controls that allow you to place and receive calls, as well as stream A2DP audio files through your stereo system from a compatible Bluetooth phone.
A remote mount MediaLink4 center makes it easy to add additional components, with connections for Jensen's included iPod cable, a mini jack 3.5mm auxiliary input, a USB port, and RCA connections. All ports are easily accessible on the front of the MediaLink4 interface, and it can be mounted seemingly anywhere in your vehicle, such as under your dash, in a glove compartment or center console.
The Jensen VM9512HD also allows your rear-seat passengers to enjoy separate sources of entertainment from the front passenger with dual zone capability. For example, you and your driving mate in front can enjoy music, while passengers in the back can watch a movie on an optional flip-down or backseat screen.
Be sure to checkout Jensen's optional navigation system, so you can add turn-by-turn instructions with voice guidance through an easy-to-use graphic interface. The system comes with a 2GB SD card preloaded with US and Canadian maps.

My husband bought this for his Honda del sol and is overall happy with it. The buttons on the screen are sometimes a pain to use and it is sometimes a bit laggy when you are trying to perform certain functions. The speaker bluetooth is decent too. Overall not a bad product for the price paid if you're looking for a basic cd/DVD player for your car.

I received this unit as a gift a while ago and was told to return it even before installation by the store in which it was purchased. Unfortunately, I didn't listen and had it installed anyway. The cd function doesn't work half the time and theres no way to permanently preset the FM stations. They can be erased accidentally to easily. The nav has to be the worst part. You pay around $200 extra for it and it doesn't work. I've only used it around town because its extremely unreliable. You input an address and start to follow the directions, then shortly thereafter the system freezes. This happens about every thirty seconds or so making it impossible to follow the course. You end up driving by the street you were supposed to turn at. To make it worse, you have to pay for the update which is $90 more than you've already spent. Trust me, theres much better out there for far less hassle!

Within a week of being installed the screen wouldn't come out or go in unless you really messed with it. The nav system often times says that the closest point of interest is in New York no matter where you are.

I bought the Jensen VM9512HD as an upgrade from my older Jensen model. I absolutely love this. I love the touchscreen, and combined with the iPod it's amazing. The dvd player is great too. The expandability on this unit is amazing. With inputs for NAV, backup camera, more screens....
I highly, highly recommend this unit if you can sink the money into it. You will not be disappointed.

I was really excited about this unit. It has many features for a good price. The unit installed easily. After some use I found the bluetooth not very useful. Folks on the other end complain of too much background noise. Most likely it's because of the lack of a remote mic. The unit would have problems with my IPOD. It would just start scrolling through songs every couple of seconds. Both of these issues were somewhat just nuisances. The big problem set in just two months after use. It will no longer play DVDs. It just reports BAD DISC. I've tried several discs and cleaning and nothing works. I'll be sending the unit back and trying to replace with something else.
