When you put the name JackHammer on any subwoofer, you've got a reputation to protect. Designed and engineered in the U.S.A., JackHammer subwoofers are made of high quality materials and are packed with features that put other subwoofers to shame.
The JackHammer series are loaded with features that make them rock. Both models feature rubber surrounds that are stitched directly to the cone for durability and have voice coils that are wound with "High Temperature" wire to ensure that your JackHammer subs will keep pounding the streets as long as you want them to. Both levels also feature MTX's proprietary Spider Plateau Venting technology which helps push hot air out of the voice coil and bring cool air in, adding to the reliability of the subwoofer and keeping it cool even in the hottest cars. JackHammer series subwoofers also feature the Asymmetrical Linear Drive System that is featured on other MTX subwoofers which combines a flat progressive spider with an extended pole piece to reproduce smooth, linear motion for incredibly crisp, clean sound.
The JH45 subwoofers have a silver stamped basked, rubber magnet cover and a industrial-looking "riveted" dust cap design.

It is a great sub, but my amp didnt like it. Thats probably my fault though. I would recommend buying it but only if your amp won't over power it.

I have 2 JH4512-04's in a custom box I built behind the back seat of my 04 Chevy Silverado 1500 4 dr truck. I powered them with a MTX RoadThunder 4160 amp that is 15 yrs old. These are the best sounding speakers and have the best bass out of all the different kinds I've owned over the years. I highly recommend these subs.

I use to mess around, buying the cheap a** products, but then I sacked up and bought this MTX sub and it really paid off. Great product, good warranty and hasn't failed me yet. I plan on buying one more soon. Hits good with 200 watt Rockford Fosgate. Plan on getting a 500 watt Rockford Fosgate amp from Sonic too..
bottom line.. GREAT DEAL and clean look
