When you put the name JackHammer on any subwoofer, you've got a reputation to protect. Designed and engineered in the U.S.A., JackHammer subwoofers are made of high quality materials and are packed with features that put other subwoofers to shame.
The JackHammer series are loaded with features that make them rock. Both models feature rubber surrounds that are stitched directly to the cone for durability and have voice coils that are wound with 428° High Temperature wire to ensure that your JackHammer subs will keep pounding the streets as long as you want them to. Both levels also feature MTX's proprietary Spider Plateau Venting technology which helps push hot air out of the voice coil and bring cool air in, adding to the reliability of the subwoofer and keeping it cool even in the hottest cars. JackHammer series subwoofers also feature the Asymmetrical Linear Drive System that is featured on other MTX subwoofers which combines a flat progressive spider with an extended pole piece to reproduce smooth, linear motion for incredibly crisp, clean sound.
The JH45 subwoofers have a silver stamped basked, rubber magnet cover and a industrial-looking "riveted" dust cap design.

I ran these with a 06ZX400.1 Kicker amp and they sounded great in a slot ported box! It was a win by a nose but they beat the Kicker Comp 12" subs which I had in the same exact setup, I just swapped those subs for these for a while and these performed better. Good product for the average joe, but if ur competing in competitions then u might wanna step up your game to higher end MTX or a Kicker Solo Baric. terminals on the back are easy to connect to, too.

Bought these not expecting anything amazing because of the price, but I was very surprised when I got them installed and was 'blown away' by the bass.

Tight clean bass. It could be a bit more musical though, it does show it's spl side.

I tried this sub in a sealed box. It does well with the rated power. It doesn't like 500 watts RMS. For a cheap sub it sounds good & gets fairly loud. Its a good value for the price

I've got one of these in a small sealed box in the trunk of a civic. It's running on about 130 watts rms. Sounds good for just having one 10" and not giving it all the power it can handle. It doesn't pound with my setup, but it does give my music the bottom end I love!
