MTX Thunder Elite amplifiers are the most technologically advanced amplifiers that MTX offers. Not only are the features and quality superior, but the looks and design of the amplifier puts the Thunder Elite series at the top of the amplifier line.
The Look
The ultimate expression of power and style. The piano black finish and brilliant chrome intake take Thunder to a new level of style. But underneath is still loud and proud MTX power and clarity. Oversized caps, ISMT produced circuit boards, Pure N-channel design, Adaptive Class D technology, and so much more combine to create the best sounding car audio amplifiers...ever.
The new and improved Prizm EFX with the addition of white light, the option of stealth mode with no lighting and the dazzling display of demo mode.
The Technology
Thunder Elite amplifiers offer the most extensive array of sound enhancement features of any Thunder amplifier. With the multitude of equalization settings, crossover options, subsonic filters, and other comprehensive adjustments all located on the top of the amplifiers, dialing in the perfect sound is easier than ever.
Thunder Elite amps feature MTX Smart Engage technology making it easy to add Thunder amplifiers to any factory or aftermarket system—without additional adapters or converters. You get to keep your factory A/V system, steering wheel controls and navigation without removing the factory source. Designed by xtant technologies, the fan brings the amplifier to a whole new level. Not just a fan, XTC is a self adjusting, turbo-charged intercooler that intelligently supplies cool air evenly and constantly over all devices based on the amplifier's demand.

I own this amp with another mtx thunder elite amp and have this hooked up to an alpine type r 12" and it pounds that sub with out a problem. The settings are easy to use. I would say this amp is worth the money. I owed a boss 3000w amp before and you could tell it wasnt a 3000w amp but when you hook this amp to subs you can tell that the amp is actually worth the money!! I would recommend this Amp!

Its has been a long while since I invested in any type of decent car audio, my last set up was all mtx and ppi so when it came time for me to purchase again I decided to give mtx another try. The amp pushes hard clean power, just as mtx always has. I have it pushing a single 12 in my mustang and it sounds perfect.

I don't own this amp, but I do own the previous model. I have the TA-7402 pushing two MTX Audio TR5510-44s. I love my amp. I want another but they don't make it anymore. Now they have this one and it's identical except for the piano key finish and new Gothic lettering. That shouldn't make it a $600 product in my opinion. In a couple of years when it's about to be discontinued and the price drops, I might by one or two. It is a great amp though and if you can afford it than I highly recommend it. MTX is great and this is the site to buy their products from.

MTX has always underrated their amps, so matching your subs to these amps can be hazardous... for your hearing. Lol These amps SLAM. the ONLY problem is the allen wrench it comes with.. it's so hard to keep up with that little thing.. Lol
