Absolutely huge sheating, this 12ga wire has approx 10mm diameter with the extra sheating. Very poor flexibility. Complete overkill for 99.9% of uses. I suppose the extra sheating holds the wires in a twisted configuration for noise issues and protects the wire from shorts. Just run normal wire properly and use grommots where rubbing might occur.
The picture shows the wire to have a copper look but the one I got was silver. It may well be tinned copper.

Great quality wires. Not the highest flexibility with the sheath. High quality clean sound, high strand count, great wire protection.

I'm pleased with this product. It worked well and was flexible. I also like the fact it had the extra jacket around the wire. It adds a bit of extra protection in my opinion. The clear jacketing does make the wire a bit more bulky so keep that in mind if space is tight.
