The Technology

Kicker 08S12L74 Solo-Baric L7 Description and Key Features:
The Kicker Solo-Baric L7 woofers continue to be the best sub in their class. The patented square-woofer technology allows for 18% more cone, which translates to more bang for your buck compared to competing round subwoofers. All new for the 08/09 series is a redesigned and improved SoloKon one-piece, injection-molded cone with full-coverage back bracing that pushes more air and creates louder bass than ever before. The new beautiful look was inspired by the big brother SoloX series, and it's making everyone at Sonic go crazy as it's tougher looking and better-performing.
In addition to the SoloKon improvements, the new L7 woofers also provide a much easier installation. The solid pole piece allows more heat sink capabilities and perimeter venting is built into the spider landing unlike previous years. This also allows for a shallower installation as you no longer have to account for venting through the back of the magnet. To make things even easier on the installer, Kicker moved the binding post to the corners of the woofer allowing for an easier connection when running the subs in parallel or series.

I saw this deal, and got one the phone the minute I saw that they had them in stock! Let me tell you I'm glad I did! I built a sealed box for the back of my 06 access cab Tacoma. Each chamber is roughly 1.5cubic ft. I'm running a pioneer deck 7800, Install bay 0 gauge wire, and a power acoustik pc20f. It's a lot of bass for the size of the cab. my mirrors rattle, roof flexes and my buddies can tell when i get close to their house. I wonder how these would sound in a car or SUV due to there being more air to move. Even with the cap my lights still dim and have dropped 1.5 volts when pumping out the tunes! held up good this summer in the 110* weather.

i bought this package for my 1997 ford probe and when i tell u this s*** is loud, I mean loud! These are probably the loudest subs in my city ...REAL TALK!! i will recommend somebody to get these in a heart beat.. they hit so hard and deep its unbelievable and it clean. Good job kicker keep it up and good deal sonic luv ya'll man ....and a clarion EQ will make these bad boys jump to space.. lol

So loud that my windows in my ranger almost blew. I have the 2 l7's and the 3000w thunder elite. I drove up to school and at least 30 ppl texted me from in campus asking if that was my system.
