This is an EXCLUSIVE special from Sonic Electronix. There is NOTHING on the market that compares with this package. A brand name, double DIN DVD player with Built-in GPS Navigation AND you get a FREE Bluetooth Adapter and FREE iPod Adapter. It is an unbelievable deal and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to you.
The Eclipse AVN52D is the AVN5510 but it was made for exclusive/premier installers only (thus the model difference). Eclipse premier dealers had a rough year due to the economy so they couldn't sell them at $1549.99 as planned. Because of that, Eclipse had overstock and we stepped up and bought the entire closeout from Eclipse. We could leave the price high at $999.99 and it would still be a deal, but here at Sonic Electronix we're all about passing the incredible savings to our loyal customers.
This combo is like NOTHING else on the market under $1200, let alone at $549.99! For example, the Pioneer Premier AVIC-F90BT is a nice unit and has Bluetooth and iPod, but it also has a smaller screen and cost more. The Kenwood DNX7120 and eXcelon DNX8120 are both nice as they have navigation, Bluetooth, and iPod connectivity, but it also costs over $600 more at $1199.99. Additionally, we have units from other brands, but all of those are only 6.5" screens, have inferior navigation, and a higher defective rate, including of course this Eclipse AVN52D. Additionally, the AVN52D comes with a 1-year warranty with an optional 3-year warranty if installed by an Eclipse dealer!
Another overlooked feature is the location of where the Eclipse AVN52D is manufactured... Japan. Unlike other Asian countries, the Japanese take manufacturing as seriously as Americans, which makes the quality far superior to other places such as Malaysia (where Kenwood is made), Indonesia (JVC), China (Pioneer Premier AVIC-F90BT, Panasonic, Clarion and practically any lower level brand name).
If you are searching for a Double DIN head unit that does it all, your search literally stops here. We have never had a deal like this and we quite honestly do not think another will come any time soon.

The unit looks great in the dash and the graphics look MUCH better in person than it does in the pictures online. The navigation works flawlessly though it does look a bit dated compared to other systems. The iPOD adapter works well but I wish that it would show album artwork. And why no video playback from the iPOD? The DVD picture isn't spectacular but rather impressive for $549. The Parrot bluetooth is awesome, no complaints at all. The audio sounds very clear but for some reason, when I turn the volume to the higher levels I get this annoying hiss sound from the speakers. It seems as if the head unit can't keep up at higher volumes. Bottom line if you want a unit that does everything for a great price, you CANNOT beat this deal.
PROS: Navigation works flawlessly, DVD picture is good, iPOD integration, clear sound quality, Parrot BT-E500 works beautifully. 5V preamp makes my sub sound great and hits harder. Fits nicely in the dash.
CONS: No subwoofer OFF switch is extremely infuriating. You can adjust the level of the sub but cannot turn it off. Though clearer in sound, the Pioneer I had before seemed more powerful. The 7-band EQ isn't as effective as the one on the Pioneer head unit I had before. NAV looks dated.

Very happy with the product and with Sonic. The screen is a little grainy. The Ipod adapter works great but don\'t expect to see your album artwork on the screen. However it does show the song/artist/album names. The bluetooth is tricky if all your speakers are amplified. You have to add a separate speaker off the back of the BT-E500. There\'s two white wire outputs. The Nav is a little outdated looking but works fine. Also, if you are not a pro at tuning, have an installer do it and it will sound great.

Sounds good, i use all amplifiers so the bluetooth doesn't send incoming sound through speakers. But the BT harness replaces the 5510s harness so it can mute audio and pass voice to speakers ,if your like me it wont get to your speakers because of an amplified system ,so cut one of the front speaker outputs on the 5510 and hook a cheap speaker up on that wire coming out of the parrot box and poof no music cause that wires cut its not getting signal from deck only voice when box is activated. Hope it helps others but you don't have to do this if your just running speakers off the deck and parrot doesn't really tell you this. i do enjoy it.

I have been installing head units for two years now for my friends and when my friend asked me about any good deals on double din head units i showed him this. He ordered it the next day. There are so many components on this thing its crazy its only in the 600 dollar price range. the only thing is that when it come down to wiring all these things it sometimes gets you a little dizzy looking at all the wiring. That being said make sure you have enough room behind your dash for all the stuff they give you or at least a place to put it. After modifying the back of the panel in his Silverado i was able to get everything back there and hook it all up.
Headunit: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Reason: Amazing the things it can do plus the touchscreen is pretty sweet. Only reason it doesn't get a 5 is because the screen is a little fuzzy but its not that big of a deal
Parrot Bluetooth module: 3 out of 5 stars
still haven't gotten it to work exactly the way we want it to. However when my friend called me with it the mic sounded very clear but he couldn't hear me
Ipod adapter: 5 out of 5 stars
worked without and hiccups and great quality sound. wish it would play videos though.
Navigation: 5 out of 5 stars
works smoothly and worked right away.
Overall: 5 Stars
