HD Radio in your Car
Experience the radio like never before with High-Definition Radio. The JVC KD-HDR20 features a built-in HD Radio tuner. That means that just by installing this radio into your car, you will be able to receive HD radio signals. There are no extra costs or hidden fees. Unlike more expensive units that require an additional add-on box to allow the reception of HD radio, the KD-HDR20 has the tuner built-in the unit. At this low price, it is hard to beat a deal this good.
The KD-HDR20 from JV also features a front-panel auxiliary input for use with an iPod, iPhone, portable CD player, portable MP3 player, or any other audio source. All that is needed is a 3.5mm (1/8") mini-jack cable to connect the two sources and you are ready to play your music throughout the whole car. The unit is also very customizable with the possibility for expansion. With the addition of the appropriate expansion box, you can add satellite radio, a direct iPod connection, Bluetooth handsfree connection, and more! For those that are looking for an incredible in-dash car stereo without an expensive price tag, the JVC KD-HDR20 is perfect.

Radio has excellent reception and sound. I have connected a JVC CD changer and it controls this with no problems.
This is installed in a Ford Ranger and with the install kit looks like a factory install
This is an excellent choice if you are considering a replacement radio for your vehicle

I bought this product for my dad's car (1995 Toyota Avalon XLS) and installed it myself. The car had an amplifier so I had to order a different wireharness (Metra 70-8112). This player has 2 sets of preamp output which is what I needed to be able to hook up to the amplifier. Just be careful though, because the preamp outputs are for front and subwoofer...usually players like sony and kenwood can switch between subwoofer and rear audio output, but this player can't do that. So you would have to split the front output for both front and rear.
MP3 playback works great, and so does the CD playback. Radio sounded very crisp and clear. Great player and amazing sound. I definitely recommend this receiver.

I was looking for an economical CD Receiver for my truck that had an HD radio tuner built in, capability to playback MP3 and WMA files on a CD-R, and an Aux in Jack on the front. This radio delivers on all counts! I just received it on time as promised from Sonic Electronix and installed it. I love it! Just what I was looking for. Love the HD sound too.I have read tons of reviews before purchasing this radio and believe I made the right choice. A lot of people complain about how the presets work, but I was used to it in minutes. Unless you need the ipod controls and USB port on the front, this is the one to get, it saves you money you don't need to spend. Would definitely recommend this radio to others...and will! I also needed to get a couple install questions answered and the tech support at Sonic hooked me up quickly with the information I needed. Can't beat the whole experience!
