This amp is junk unlike the kole 5,500. I have the amp hooked to to 2 earthquake sub zero 12" 4 ohm and the amp cuts out when i turn it up. But the kole 5,500 wont and i wish i never bought this amp.

Amp sounds good but I would say it's only pushing about 1000-1300 watts MAX in my setup which includes a pretty weak alternator (65amp), but have 2 deep cycle optimas as well.. with my Tsunami 1100d I was hitting 144 db with my 15" sub, now i am only at 140.9 with this amp. I would say that if you have the money, look for a more efficient amplifier. If money is a factor, this amp is good for the price. Also seems like if you play it loud for a period of time say a half hour or longer, the power decreases. My Tsunami amp never did that. I loved my Tsunami amp, wish they didn't switch to wiring/accessories only - I'd rather have a new Tsunami amp.

I've had this amp in my car since the winter of 08 running 2 Lanzar heritage 1000rms 12's n I got people wanting me to sell it to them cuz they can hear me before they see me, this amp WORKS, no cutting out, no over heating and I ran it during last and this winter back n forth to work, but I recommend u run 0 gauge to it cuz it started to melt the jacket on the 4 gauge. I just bought 2 12 mofo's guaranteed she's gonna blow the trunk off my Cavalier.
