If you have a new 4th generation Nano (the rounded one), a 2nd Generation iTouch or newer, or an iPhone 3G,you will also need to purchase the Scosche PassPORT charging adapter as Apple recently changed the voltage input on their iPod input.

I recommend this product to al lwho are looking for some nice, very loud, moments. I had been looking on the market for a boombox that not only looked the part, but sounded the part. I'm very into retro stylings, so the square form of the iThunder fit my desires perfectly!
The shell is a relativity high quality plastic-type material, while the speaker guards are a nice, light, perforated metal. the handle is very well constructed; i wasn't expecting the handle strength due to its slide-and-lock ability (which is very convenient).
the only complaint i would have about this boombox is the size -adaptors for ipods which are made of a cheap plastic. they get the job done, but a nice rubber coating would have made this the perfect system (the plastic may rattle with excessive bass). the line-in however, compensates for the lacking in adapter quality.
also, another minor annoyance is needing to take out the batteries from the back in order to use the a/c adapter. while it is a bothersome formality, the remote control that snugly hid in the back of the boombox till you need it was so nice, it made up for the battery transfer bug.
in terms of sound... well they dont call it the iTHUNDER for nothing! i can hear this thing all the way down my block on full. at the beach, the radius in which i can hear this beast is truly remarkable. it is great for parties, or just some music in the garage while you work on you're car.
