I have always liked Alpine. In fact, the Alpine now on my boat has been working quite reliably for 10 years. The down side is that I must use an RF cable with both my iPad and iPod. I like using the iPad as a the controller for iTunes becuase I can actually read the screen and the layout is terrifice. Pandora and Internet Radio are both a real bonus too. I wanted get away from the RF cable and step up to a direct connect for better sound quality. However, this unit will not support the iPad. Looking at options from other companies.
