Good unit for the money so far
I purchased this for my work truck, a 1999 Dodge Durango. The wiring harness provided was really easy to use. The deck went in very smoothly but i had the factory speakers in to test it and I thought the deck had a problem as all volume would turn off if you changed songs or swithed from sd card reader to cd or dvd. Turned out the factory speakers were so badly destroyed all issues stopped with the Sony XS-GTX1642s i got from here for the front and an older pair of JVC 6" with 2" tweeter. I have had in storage for the rear. The sound is a little thin but I haven't added the sub yet. I like the fact that there are extra outputs so my speaker box i somtimes use in my travel trailer for camping will just plug right in. I hope that all the bells and whistles don't kill this unit fast. My only complaint so far is the volume on the deck is a bit annoying (I would have liked to see maybe a push in / pop out knob you actually turn) and this is my first unit with a remote and so far that is the only real way to change the volume without accidentally changing the song. Still learning all the features.
Boss BV7300
It's a nice deck for the money. As previously mentioned volume control on the unit is useless. It either changes the CD/station or causes skipping when held down. On a brighter note, it sounds amazing with 4 6-1/2" boss 3 ways at 250watts each. Installation with chrysler harness was fairly easy (pink/blk to ground) No need for a bypass kit! I was able to leave the factory amp in my durango too. Looks good, sounds good, just isnt perfect :).
Not Bad
In short simple words, this isn't a bad unit. Had some trouble with the wiring but I think I just fixed it completely now. The button instead of knob function for volume control gets a little annoying but I just use the remote and everything works out just fine.
Not worth the money
The features are horrible on this. The screen is horrible while watching a dark movie. I don't like it because there isn't a turn knob for the volume, all buttons. I would not recommend this for the price. Also the subwoofer and the rear RCA outputs have burned out.
