Distribution Block Specifications

Distribution Block Type
This specifies what the intended use of the distribution block is. Fused distribution blocks are intended to be used with the power wire and the fuse acts as a short-circuit or surge protection so your amplifier is not as likely to be damaged. Non-fused distribution blocks can used with ground or power wire connections, but the protection on power wire connections will not be present as there is no fuse in the distribution block. Therefore, we recommend your amplifier has an external fuse for short-circuit or surge protection. When using either type of distribution block, it is recommended to use a main fuse holder within 18 inches of the battery.

This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.

Stinger for the win.

March 16, 2014

I would recommend this product mainly to high-end audio fanatics. Yes, you can put smaller amperage fuses in it. But... Why would you? An excellent piece. I now have two in my car. One for lighting and effects, and the other for audio equipmemt. Both seem to be pristine even after the one has been abused for almost a full year. Long story short, need juice? Get this.

Love it in my F150

September 29, 2013

I needed a solution to having so many wires connected to my battery. This simplified that with a 0 gauge from my Xscorpion DBT024RP battery terminal to my new distro block. and with the 100 amp MAXI fuses this was a done deal. wish we could post pix since I made a custom bracket for mounting under the hood
