Keeps the kids quiet on our long trips. It kept me quiet as well. I love being a passenger in the back.

I looked around for a great DVD player for my new minivan for the kids to watch on long trips. Of course I'm a computer geek so I download all their movies and TV shows so I wanted something that could play DivX and XVid files. This player came in significantly cheaper than the competition while boasting a USB and SD card slot and the ability to play nearly any downloaded file. I have season one of Dora the Explorer on one DVD and it can play for hours. It can also be set to play randomly. The FM audio plays fine in our stereo but when the kids are older we may switch to Infrared headphones. It plays DVDs automatically when you insert them, which I wish it would do for the downloaded files. It means each time we start the vehicle we have to wait for it to spin up, then press play and it restarts from the beginning. It would be cool if there was a continue mode like when playing standard DVDs, and a way for it to remember if it was on the last time the vehicle was turned off so that it would automatically turn back on. All in all it blows the competition away and when we get our second minivan we will be getting another.

This unit was easy to install and has performed flawlessly since I installed it. The picture is clear and sharp, and controls are very user-friendly. I would recommend this unit to anyone with kids who travel by car for any distance.
