When I got my first VW Golf it came with a dash pocket that I loved. My next Golf did not have the pocket and I realized immediately that it was something I couldn't live without. After a little searching I found this item. It was very reasonably priced, so I gave it a shot. Installation was a little tricky (instructions were good, but getting anything into the dash of a car is a chore). The color was exactly right, but the fit is not ideal. I'm still fiddling with it to get the trim entirely flush and the way it sits in the dash is a little loose for my taste. That said, I will admit that once it's in it isn't going anywhere. Some of these issues may have to do with the fact that I had removed the factory CD player and swapped it for this part. It's possible the fit would be better if it were used to replace a missing factory dash pocket.
