The unit is not as well assembled as it should be. There is a metal piece which acts as a collar to hold the wires in a bundle, and it was loose. There are a couple of loose connections in the unit, so sometimes my radio will not recognize my iPod unless I move the cable around again and agian, and sometimes it won't see it at all. The only reason I didn't return this is that it cost less than $10 and i have since traded in the car, the stereo that was in it, and this cable.
Installation was a snap, and when it worked, I really liked it.
