I've owned these speakers for almost 2 years now and they are awesome. They pack quite a bit of bass and whoever says otherwise does not have their system tuned correctly or is running a stock headunit. I would recommend these to anyone that is looking for a good set of 6x9 and great prices. They get loud and have good response all the way down to around 30hz. Rattle is not an issue. In fact, rattle is never an issue with speakers because speakers don't rattle. The area around them rattles, the pieces covering them rattle, not the speakers themselves. If you want a little more oomph out of these babies an amp will do them justice.
I love these and probably will never look for another 6x9 speaker again.

I just bought these and put them in my '86 caprice classic. For a first time buyer they're pretty good for the money, but they rattle, so be ready for disapointment. Note: these are the first Sony products that I have had trouble with.

these speakers have no bass. i know aftermarket speakers r meant for mid and highs but still..... a little more bass from these would be nice.
and the surrounds are cheap cloth stuff that will break fast.
