Never has getting high-end sound in your car been easier. The Infinity Reference 6832cf car speakers are the perfect solution to aftermarket speakers. With the 2 ohm voice coil, these speakers are ideal for running directly off of a headunit or for use with a aftermarket amplifier. Infinity engineers have combined the Plus One+cone with the high roll rubber surround to help retain the integrity of the sound. The edge driven, textile dome tweeter also features a tweeter attenuation switch that will adjust from 0 to +3 dB. Get more from your audio system with the Infinity 6832cf.
The engineers are Infinity have developed a speaker that works for all applications. The True Four Ohm Technology used in these speakers make it perfect for running directly of a headunit or with an aftermarket headunit and amplifier. All of the speakers in the Infinity Reference line feature a 2 ohm voice coil. However, when you factor in the small OEM speaker wire of most vehicles and the heating in the voice coil during use, the impedance actually seen by the amplifier will increase. Infinity has adjusted the speaker to be safely connected to any headunit.

Replaced the front door speakers in my 2013 Mustang convertible with these about a month ago. Sonic had a great price and the product arrived in two days. Had to order a speaker bracket from ford for the doors but after that instalation was simple and easy. Sound quality is much improved over stock and these even sound better of the HU than the 682.9.

They sounded great at first, but after a while i blew two of my 4 speakers. Granted, I was giving them twice the power I should have, but with other high-end speakers i've noticed they are a lot more durable. If you didn't notice in the specs, infinity speakers ARE 2 OHMS. This is where i went wrong. They're not terrible, but also don't buy just for the name. Rockford Fosgate makes some 6x8's that i prefer much more than these for the similiar price range.

Installed these in the door of our 2013 Mustang convertible. Due to the premium sound system's stock speakers, I had to order speaker brackets for a 2012 coup but the change was quick and easy. The speakers really provide warm mids and crisp highs. For use with a head unit they out perform their bigger brother 6829 Kappa.

I purchased these for my wife's 02 ford explorer for Christmas. It replaced pioneer 3-ways, and needless to say was far superior than the pioneers. Being that these were 2-ohm speakers, it was like I changed amplifiers as well. Crystal clear highs, an awesome midbass. 110% satisfied with my purchase, great price as well.

There is nothing special or worthwhile with this speaker. They sound nice, just same as most speakers over 40 dollar range. The problem is that if you push them loud, their tweeters will go, leaving you with a dull sounding woofer.
Do yourself a favor and don't buy just for the name. Don't get any mid priced model when for another 30 bucks you can get the real deal. If you are serious and don't want to waste your money you won't regret spending a little more on the Infinity Kappa 682.9cf...
Those do hold up at high levels and sound way better with more depth and natural sounding mids & highs. So remember, the Infinity Kappa 682.9cf are ones to get. These are just mediocre at best.
I have both and I now have to replace these because tweeters blew out. I am getting the Precision Power PPI PC572, because it is 3 ohms and has separate crossover and high dB sensitivity and can take more watts RMS. It should sound better at almost half the cost of this one. I look at materials and specs, not dumb name brands that like to cash in on popularity.

found this helpful.clear and accurate speakers
I put these in the rear deck of a Mustang to replace some junk speakers the previous owner had installed. The clarity and accuracy of these speakers is exactly as I expected from Infinity. They are not made for systems with big power but they work perfectly with a head unit powered system or a small amp.
