We have a fleet of 21 charter buses that are equipped with an interconnected DVD/Radio/CD/PA system that continuously give us and our customers problems. We remove the complete factory system and install the Sony DV2200, and all problems go away.

I have owned this head unit for about a month now, it works great! I am big on DTS surround CDs and SACDs (what other head unit will play SACDs?!?!?), and this thing plays them. The great thing is that it downmixes the source, based on your speaker setup (I currently don't have a center hooked up). Stereo sources are also great; it will take two channel sources and convert them to 5.1 with Dolby Pro Logic II, with either "music" or "movie" mode. (music has a wider front-center stage). My only wish is that the iPod connection was via USB, not Sony's proprietary bus, which requires you to purchase another piece ok kit. I currently use my iPod via the aux jack, which works fine for me.
Overall, this head unit is great - while limited on some features that other non-surround sony head units have in the same price range, I would get it if you are into big into 5.1 music.
