At first, i was kind of disappointed in these, but after a while they sounded great and im not afraid to compare them to my turtle's. If you bass boost music these sound a lot better. They don't distort much if at all and can handle everything from classical to boosted hardcore music like metal and dubstep. Overall these are good buds with balanced sound and can handle a decent amount of bass for what they are. Definitely a 5 star value because i got them for free through the promotion.
