The Rockford Fosgate Power series is the finest in audiophile grade sound. Since the original introduction of the Power series, Rockford raised the bar for high-end car audio products. The most recent Power speakers integrate unique Rockford Fosgate technology and advanced engineering that result in the best Power sound to date. The patent pending VAST surround provides a larger surface area for the cone. Vast, or Vertical Attach Surround Technique gives about 25% more effect radiating cone, which improves both the efficiency and maximum output capabilities. The new flexfit basket utilizes holes and slots as opposed to the traditional speaker mounting holes. This gives the speakers an easier fit into OEM opening, as well as a secure fit.
To separate the mid and high frequencies, Rockford uses an external component crossover that is one of the best in the market today. This audiophile grade crossover effectively replicates the musical quality with detailed accuracy. The tweeters integrate DDC tweeter mounting technology to provide the most secure fitting of the tweeter with an easy installation.

I love the way these sound but i am kicking myself for not buying the 6-1/2 since i had to build custom templates for them to fit in my front car doors but this is my problem and not anythig against the acual product. The versatility of the tweeter with the dual clam design was great and fun to instal. the crossovers are in my opinion are a little large but if you like displaying them, then its great. I am running these with a two channel MEMPHIS 16ST-300 with a 150 watts RMS each at 4 ohms which is way too much for these speakers but i keep the gain on about a quarter to 3/8, but they can handle a little more than that if you turn the bass way down or eles the mid will start farting.
