My friend bought this for his 09 impreza and it is awesome. The head unit that comes in subaru's suck but the speakers are good so, when he got this, it brought out the full potential of the speakers.
I was suprised at how well the gps works, it actually keeps up with the vehicle, unlike many other gps'.
You can get an optional card with some amount of points of interest in the millions but, the points of interest in it already, are sufficient for the average user.
There are categories for restaurants and etc, if you look at the points of interest!
All in all it has been a great value for him.

I like the looks of this unit, and audio quality is fine and iPod/iPhone integration is fine.
But the Navigation is useless, no Category for Restaurant or Gas station. GPS freezes, Bluetooth freezes. The supplied Micro phone is bad( needed to replace with another mic). The GPS data from Tele Atlas which so outdated, that it can not find addresses from 6 years ago, can not find many major roads built in 5 years ago. GPS updates are slow to the point not useful in cities. The Bluetooth has several issues, but gotten little better after updating with un-official europe version.
GPS thinks you are driving somewhere without road even with full GPS signal, and needs to undock and dock to get it working. Resetting becomes second nature.
SD card is only good for AVIC feeds, and updates, and you can not play music from SD card.
AVIC feeds only take 100 items from POI feeds and can not be searched under POIs.
Overall better off with Kenwood 6140 that series which provides Garmin Nav with NavTeq database instead of TeleAtlas database.
Sonic is simply amazing in everything they offer. I have purchased my entire new sound system from here and it is easily the best price around. I will never use any other source for speakers, gps, car security or anything without going here first. Sonic is on the way to the top as far as I see it!
