Setting the Bar with Cerwin-Vega Stroker Series Subwoofers
Cerwin-Vega Stroker series subwoofers, like the STKR122, have been the standard by which other high performance subwoofer have been judged for over 20 years. The Stroker series subwoofers are only offered in a 12' size with either a Dual 2 ohm voice coil or Dual 4ohm voice coil. They have a power rating of 2400 watts peak and a whopping 1200 watts of continuous RMS power. In order to handle this much power the Stroker subwoofers use four-layer 3" edge wound voice coils that are able to handle extreme power in the most efficient way possible. In order to really hit those lower frequencies the woofers are equipped with a fixed sub-sonic filter at 18dB that increases lower-frequency reproduction making these woofers competition worthy. A removable cone assembly allows for quick and easy field serviceability that allows for fast replacement of damaged parts to keep your music bumping without long interruptions. U-Term speaker terminals form a solid connection that is secure even when the woofers are performing at their peak power giving the woofers undisturbed signal for continuous play. Cerwin-Vega Stroker series subwoofers are meant to separate the men from the boys, so if you are ready to step up then look no further than a Stroker series subwoofer.

This Cerwin Vega Stroker is a good sub but not worthy of the Stroker name. Unlike is past brothers, this sub does not hit nearly as hard or as deep as its counterparts. Older Strokers could easily handle 2000w RMS of power. With that amount of juice, these Strokers will be history in no time. If your not into SPL and want clear and controlled bass, these are definately your subs. If you want overkill on bass, then stick to its previous series.

I have the oldschool strokes. When i hear cv STROKER i think of yellow spyder on top of cone with a gold pin strokin!! These subs are good sq and verry loud! But not spl like the old school ones. They take a wayyy smaller box then the old ones. Better then w7 forsure! if your used to the oldschool you will be dissapointed though.
