Auto Vision Guard is designed to provide drivers with a better rear view compared to the traditional reflection mirror in order to enhance and promote safe driving. A build-in LCD, a digital distance indicator, along with two reading lights is integrated in the rear reflection mirror.
The rear vision mirror looks and functions exactly the same as a stand mirror that reflects the rear vision. Whenever the LCD display is activated, images taken by the high quality CCD digital camera mounted on the rear end of the vehicle are projected instantly onto the LCD, thus provide a clear, non-distorted, wide angle view of any possible objects behind the vehicle.
The four ultrasonic sensors mounted on the rear bumper of the vehicle initiate automatically once the vehicle is shifted to reverse gear. The distance indicator will then identify the distance, in feet, between the rear bumper of the vehicle and any possible obstacles behind the vehicle. An audible buzz is also integrated in the Auto Vision Guard to help the driver to identify the proximity of rear bumper clearance in order to enhance and promote safe driving.

Installed myself in 2010 RAV 4. New mirror fit on factory mirror mounting plate. I pulled a lot of inside panels to hide wires but cut outs in back of RAV 4 was perfect for placing the control box. Easy mount of camera and sensors. Only problem is that in the daylight, you can hardly see the camera image in the mirror. Night time image is fine. Audible alarm is good and distance measurements on mirror are accurate. Audible alarm drives me crazy when I have the hitch mounted bike rack on as it thinks I'm really close to something! Love it and consider it a great upgrade.
