The Alpine Ai-NET Auxillary Input allows you to connect 1 audio auxiliary source (iPod, DVD Player, MP3 Player, etc.) to any Alpine ready Ai-NET head unit. Once connected, you can select the AUX source on your receiver and utilize the Bass Engine® sound-shaping functions to personalize the playback.
- The Ai-Net Aux Adapter converts Ai-Net changer port on compatible Alpine receivers into an auxiliary input.
- Additional RCA input instead of CD changer Ai-Net type port
- Note: Only one (auxiliary accessory OR CD Changer) can be used. In other words, the RCA auxiliary input could not be used while CD changer input is used.
Note: The Ai-NET aux adaptor disallows the use of a a CD changer or any other Alpine unit that connects to the Ai-NET input.

I have a Alpine CDA-117 and i have this hooked up to a RCA to headphone plug, For whatever else, like a movie player, or other type of MP3 player. I use my USB for my ipod and flash drives. It just pops right in.
Although i wish the stereo side just stuck out straight instead of upwards, makes it irritating to take my stereo out because it gets stuck on the top.
