The Pioneer DEH-P5200HD is a perfect solution to getting quality aftermarket audio for a reasonable price. As with all Pioneer decks, there is a level of sound quality that can only be achieved from a Pioneer stereo and the Pioneer DEH-P5200HD is not exception. The sound processor, along with other audio technologies like the 5-band equalizer and advanced sound retrieval help make the sound quality from this receiver among the best.
HD Radio comes standard on this unit. Without any additional purchases or modules, you can start listening to high definition digital radio stations. The digital broadcast is the newest radio technology that provides crystal clear reception that can only be described as CD-like quality. I've had this for about six months. This thing is great. It seemed a little expensive at first, but it was very worth it.
I had some Kicker speakers put in before this but just with the stock head unit. When I turned on my radio I was expecting it to be awesome, but it wasn't. Then I had this put in, and this time I wasn't expecting a lot of difference.. I only turned it up to 20 (volume goes up to 60) and it was just as loud as those speakers with the stock head unit turned all the way up.
It's also really easy to work. The buttons on the remote and the actual head unit are the same and do the same thing, which is nice. It takes a little while to get used to the different functions each button has, but after you get used to it it's really convenient.

I have had this unit in my truck for several months and am generally pleased with it's performance. The only gripes I have is that the red backlit controls are very hard to read so you kind of need to memorize what button does what. Also it is not real "user friendly", the big center knob has waay too many functions. It controls so many things that you are often unsure what will happen when you try to use it to do anything except turn up the volume. You will want to keep the manual handy as you will need to refer to it often.

This is a great unit for the price. The power and features are hard to beat at this price. I had tried to buy this unit in a local shop and was told good luck fining one because they had been on back order for months. The price I paid here was less than half of what the local shop would have charged it they had it. I put it in a 2007 Toyota 4-Runner with basic stock speakers and the improvement was incredible. I wanted it to play music from a USB thumb drive and it worked flawlessly. My only complaint is that the control knob is so thin that it is very difficult to use. To offset this, the remote is very easy to use and within about a week I could use it by touch and did not have to even look at it to navigate the menus.

This product delivers everything as described. I mainly bought this item for the HD radio and the ipod connection and it works great.
