Kenwood KAC-8405
An important element to class AB amplifiers is clean output with high efficiency. These two factors were highly considered in the engineering of the Kenwood KAC-8405. Highly rated signal to noise ratio and total harmonic distortion showcase this amplifiers signal processing and clean output. In some cases these factors wouldn’t mean much because the amplifier may generate plenty of heat over time and cause it to constantly shut off. In order to maximize total efficiency, the Kenwood KAC-8405 has had cleverly incorporated self activating fans to help quickly dissipate heat. This prevents damage to your amplifiers internals and also protects the amplifier from constantly going into self-protection mode.
With rated output levels of 60 watts to 4 Channels at 4 Ohms, and 90 watts to 4 Channels at 2 Ohms, this amplifier can truly output clean class AB signal without distorting and overheating. To achieve higher power output, the Kenwood KAC-8405 can also bridge two channels together to even power more demanding applications. This effectively allows the amplifier for 4, 3, and even 2 channel operations! Built into a compact, brushed metal chassis this amplifier even gives off an appearance of staying cool even in the harshest environments.

Got this amp to power Polk DB651, and DB6501. Sounds are crisp, and clear. Absolutely no signs of over heating. Amp is still cool to the touch after an hour of solid play. Set up took about 20 min and I haven't touched it since. Great little amp!

I have this powering infinity 6012 comps and a single image dynamics 10" sub. I had to fiddle with the x-over points and eventually had to turn on bass boost and turn my gain down but I have it set correctly now where I can crank my system and it is crystal clear. I had a 3 hour road trip and had my music cranking and windows down the whole time and no problems.
I elected to wire it up using the speaker cables instead of RCA and have no problems with popping. I can hear the fan slightly in the trunk after turning my car off but it's really not an issue.
This is a great little amp for a budget system and I am very happy with it. I wish it had more power but for what I paid I am completely satisfied.
