AWESOME PRODUCT!!!! NIB AS DESCRIBED!!! AAA+++
I was very skeptical about buying electronics online. That being said, Sonic Electronix sent me the same amp. That I would have bought in the store.......NIB as described. This thing is running a set of 6 1/2" focal components (ie: also purchased from Sonic Electronix) as well as a pair of Focal 8" co-axials with power to spare......It is loud and clear.

This was my first time using rockford electronics in my car audio. Simply, this was by far the best decision I have made in car amps, period. Sound quality is awesome, features on this amp are fantastic, I have never had a better sound quality and range in any other amp like the P500-4 has given me. I get complimants all the time on how good my system sounds and what I am using, good speakers are essential but without the right amp, they are only so good. Rockford is on point and I only wish I had found this out years ago. You will be truly satisified with this amp, I know I am.

I have been into car audio since I was 16. I am 40 now, and still have the car audio bug. I just purhcased a brand new Ford Ecoboost F-150 and this is a great truck. But the stock stereo was pathetic. I wanted a decent system for under a grand. So, I bought a JL Audio clean sweep, replacement 6x8 door speakers (pioneer in the front, Alpine in the back doors), and installed two very old school amps that I had kept from back in the day. A Kicker ZR240 for the highs, and a ZED Autotek 7150 "Bass Thrust" for my two kicker 6.5" comp VR woofers (already owned these as well) under the rear seat (supercrew) in a custom ported box.
That put a 2 ohm stereo load on the kicker, and a 2 ohm mono load on the autotek which both are rated for. Everything sounded great, but then the Autotek stopped working (this amp is 20 years old after all).
So I broke down and bought this 4 channel Fosgate amp, and for the time being, I am running my whole system on it. The four door speakers are bridged to the front channels, high pass set at about 160hz, and the 6.5" kickers are on the rear channel, bridged 2 ohms mono, also crossed LP at 160hz. The birth sheet states like 664 total watts RMS at a 2 ohm load.
The sound difference with the new amp is night and day. I was blown away. The sound is extrememly crisp, clean, clear, and the lows are incredibly tight and with the bass boost dialed in, these little kicker 6.5's drop way down into the frequency range even though they won't win any SPL contests. I put them in a .6 cu ft ported box each, and they drop pretty low for 6.5's. I bought a single polk MM1040 DVC 10" woofer that I haven't built a box for yet, but that is next. I will add another 10 down the road.
This amp is plenty loud enough for my music tastes now. My ears and hearing are a lot more sensitive to loud music after running around with four 12's and two 15's back in college. The built in crossovers works well and allows a smooth transition from my door speakers on the front channel to the two litte subs under the seat on the rear channel. The treble boost sounds best about half way up on my set up anyway. The bass boost is set to about 6/10 to 7/10 of the way up for a good rich deep bass output. I just purchased the bass gain remote so that I can control the rear channel bass boost on my rear subs.
This little amp is worth every penny. Could not find it anywhere cheaper, and this is a brand new amp, not refurbished. I didn't think it would sound this much better, but it does.

Sound quality is awesome, my speakers (JBL P660c and P6560c) sound so crisp and clean and very loud. my system is active and the highs frequencies are more accurate and dynamic. Medium is great too if u set nicely ur equalizer, specially higher medium. I dont use anymore bass, cause my JBL dont need to play under 80-100hz : i hav rockford P3D212 ^^
The gain fixed at 1/3 in this amp and is good for my ears.

Overall the amp has a clean sound and produces enough power for my tastes. CEA-2006 Compliant listing guarantees the advertised power rating. The size of the amp allows for installation in tight locations. The sound quality meets my expectations. Frequency and crossover adjustments exceeds what will be required for tuning.
All in all I believe you will not be disappointed with this product but you may be able to find something just as good for a little less dollars.
Pros:
- Small footprint
- Power output exceeds listed rating
- Wiring terminals are top notch
- Frequency and crossover adjustments
Cons:
- Amp adjustments are not easy to get to if amp is mounted Vertically
- Price
