I have been very satisfied with this product and have no complaints. This unit does periodic updates of its own software from time to time since it does connect to the internet and I know I have seen it do this at least twice in the six months that I have owned mine, so it keeps up to date on own. I copied my entire music collection, approximately 200 CDs, onto its massive 250 GB hard drive and while I converted their format from WAV to MP3 to further compress the data from my computer then made the wifi connection to move them over to the unit’s hard drive. 250 GB is a pretty sizable space and they hardly took up any space whatsoever. Now I have to figure out how I’m going to use the rest of the hard drive since I don’t collect photographs or movies on my computer. The only drawback I see is that the LG music software on the unit which doesn’t make a Playlists that you can pop in for parties. I suppose I could do this on my computer and transfer it to the BluRay’s hard-drive, but it would be nice if the unit’s software was a little more advanced and easier to use for this purpose. I use the internet movie downloads the most instead of driving to the video store to rent the latest movies. I like the Vudu and CinemaNow services that come with the software the best. The NetFlix software wants you to pay monthly for their service whether you use it or not and their selection appeared to be just older movies, so I don’t bother with that. I do have problems with the Vudu selection, however, as I pay for 1080p quality streaming and the transfer stream doesn’t come in fast enough and it pauses my movie while it recalculates/buffers which is very annoying and frustrating if you have guest over to watch a movie. This is no reflection on the player as I believe this is more of a function of the Vudu service not having the proper equipment to do proper streaming of its signal during peak hours. I updated my router to try to fix this problem with a relatively expensive replacement which had better faster connections to the computer and I know I have the best internet speed my cable company offers. Now I just purchase HD quality feeds for a buck less. If you already have an extensive BluRay collection or plan to buy them in the future, I have no complaints with this unit. Another one of the built in free services that comes in the internet entertainment package is Pandora, the free internet streaming music service. I have used this extensively when I’m just working around the house and want some background music to listen to. All in all, this is a great entertainment unit with a bunch of great possibilities whether you throw a lot of parties or just want some popcorn and watch a good movie for an evening from your own DVD/BluRay collection or via the internet via streaming wifi/internet connections. I highly recommend this product.

This player was super easy to set up and connect to my network. Does everything that was described. The on board hard drive just sends this player over the top. Only draw back I can see is how the front panel has to open to load the discs, would have been better design if they would have allowed discs to be loaded without panel having to open.

Great picture quality at a good price.
Versatile with internet capability.
Only drawback is poor front lighting for manual changes - but have only needed that feature once.
