This Kenwood head unit is great. We got it after we ordered a JVC unit that did not perform as expected (and was also defective). We chose this unit after speaking to tech support at SE. It has worked flawlessly in our Hyundai Entourage for over a year! Sound quality and durability have been excellent. My only complaint is that some of the audio menus are buried. I wish that there was a more direct way to access them. Also, the front face is a little busy, and the secondary functions of the preset buttons are not illuminated, so night adjustment is difficult. Overall a great head unit for a good price. Also Sonic Electronix is great to work with.

This is my 3rd HU, but is by far the best. I had an Alpine CDA-102 and CDA-105 before this, and while the Alpines were more aesthetically pleasing, this Kenwood takes the prize. Easy to use, relatively cheap, and comes with HD radio! What more can you ask for? Buy it.

This is my first stereo. It sounds great.
Only one problem. When power gets interrupted (disconnecting the battery), sometimes the radio will not work until stereo has been reset.

I've installed about a dozen car stereos in my time, and this one was most frustrating. So much so I had to send it to the Kenwood service center. Unfortunately they sent it immediately back saying there was no problem. Not true because the CD player still won't read any CD. So much for their thorough troubleshooting. I found the controls a bit user-unfriendly, but there are a lot of options. The manual is pretty bad, and the firmware shipped needs updating. I really think this product was cobbled together quickly and rushed to market. No more Kenwoods for me!
