Eco-Friendly Navigation
Brand new for 2010 is the Kenwood KNA-G610 hideaway navigation module. This is designed for the 2010 A/V receivers that do not come with built-in navigation. One of the largest upgrades from earlier models of the Kenwood add-on navigation module (such as the [[knag510]]) is the addition of ecoRoute. Kenwood's ecoRoute is a system that calculates fuel economy, fuel usage, your vehicles carbon footprint, fuel cost, and more! With this data available, you can plan trips in a eco-friendly manner.
The Kenwood KNA-G610 add-on module utilizes Garmin maps and interface to provide excellent navigation that is fast, accurate, and easy to use. The intuitive controls of the navigation can be accessed using the touchscreen capabilities of the existing Kenwood stereo. After the plug-n-play installation, the KNA-G610 provides over 5 million POIs and map coverage of both the United States and Canada. A SD card slot is integrated on to the unit for future map upgrades. You can get the best view with the 2D and 3D map viewing angles. The smart trip computer allows you to customize routes with ease, as well as view your current speed, the distance traveled, distance remaining, and many other features. If you don't live in the continental United States, then you don't need to worry! It comes with maps for the entire United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), Canada, and Puerto Rico. Let your Kenwood receiver do the navigation with this Navigation add-on module! Now you can reach your destination fast, efficiently, and in a way that is friendly to the environment!

I love having this in my car. My screen makes it so easy to read and use. It was pretty easy to install and no issues while doing it. Has taken me everywhere since. I just wish the kenwood radio that I put it in had already been ready for just a turn on with out having to buy the seperate module. Other than that, it's been great!

I ordered this unit to replace an aging 7100 so the navigaion would be "current". It installed easily with the existing 7100 wiring harness.
Pros:
Controls on faceplate easier to use than 7100.
Rotary vol knob is highly underrated.
Display is crisp.
Cool to be able to change color of hard buttons.
Audio is clean and undistorted.
Cons:
Navigation is slow.
Bluetooth integration is weaker than its predecessor. Newer Blackberry cannot connect.
Bluetooth telephone is horrible. Almost everyone I talk with over the bluetooth hands-free complains about the background noise and lack of clarity of the sound or noise. Incoming audio seems fine.
Touchscreen seems to have a mind of its own. The other day, I could not press a button and had to turn car off and reboot stereo. Very frustrating.
This is my 5th Kenwood in-dash since 2001. Each generation gets more graphics, more features, and yet the quality keeps getting worse. I do not envision another Kenwood in-dash system in the future.

This Kenwood/Garmin navigation system is excellent. The installation was easy and the unit is extremely easy to use and well laid out. I find it far better than my old Garmin portable unit I have. Everything you need is in the package along with good instructions.
