This Kenwood eXcelon Receiver has some great audio features too, such as the Dual Zone capability option; this allows the playing of separate sources to the front of the vehicle and the rear of the vehicle. The CR-2 Tuner supplies you with 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets, allowing you to program all your favorite radio stations to this receiver. The superior sound quality of Kenwood’s KVT-696 come from the built-in RDS (Radio Data System), System Q-EX sound shaper, 3-band parametric EQ with 8 preset tone curves, custom high pass and low pass filters, 24-bit digital to analog converter, and the built-in decoding for Dolby Digital.
Expandability options for this Player are not limited. Sirius and XM Satellite radio has two packages if you are interested in those services. Bluetooth Ready will provide a complete hands-free operation when receiving or making a call from inside your vehicle. With the built-in rear USB port, you will have full control with the latest iPods and iPhones, giving you even more playback options. Let start off by saying this is the best unit I have ever had this thing has so many features and so many setting its like its built for so many different audio setups. I got two 12" Rockford fosgate p3's with a Rockford amp at 500 watts rms I don't have what you would call a competition system but it make my system sound so much Better than the single DIN power acoustic I had my highs and mid ranges sound so loud and so clear thanks to the treble and mid range setting that it has. My lows from my subs sound so clear thanks to the settings that it has for that. Then the fact that you could actually change the the color of the screen background is just over the top for me. To some it all up This screen is a bit expensive but well worth it you will not be disappointed in it.
