Crimestopper is proud to introduce the improved CS2016FM Informer II™ for 2006. When it comes to security, convenience, remote starting and 2 Way FM paging, the Informer system has all of the above. With its groundbreaking Dot Matrix screen design, the CS2016FM stays ahead of the rest, hands down. Step up to a system that uses a fully animated, real time, graphic LCD screen instead of that "painted" icon LCD screen the competition is using. With more new features for 2006, the Informer™ maintains the status quo as the flagship of Crimestopper's 2-Way FM paging technology.

I purchased the CS2016FM Informer II for my 200 Dodge Durango, and it works wonderfully. It tied right into the existing factory alarm, and the only problem I encountered was when I went to unlock the Durango, the locks would open, then re-lock quickly. As I researched further, the problem was quickly resolved when I programmed the alarm for a "single pulse unlock", instead of the "double pulse unlock". The Blue LED is a pleasant surprise.

I had this alarm for a couple of weeks and it's been good. The range isn't bad, but if something big is in the way, it won't reach. Also the installation went by smoothly and I even got the remote start working easily, but the remote display has some flaws, it doesn't show you how much battery you have left, it doesn't tell you if you're out of range, and if you want to turn off your car in remote start it won't tell you if it turned off or not.

For the price this is a cool alarm; it works from really far and is dependable, the remote looks good too. I had a little problem when the brain of the alarm stopped working for a couple days then I got it reinstalled and started working again. Overall it's a good alarm; I would suggest you getting a tiltmoting sensor for it. It's like 30 more bucks but makes you feel much safer, sometimes the original shock sensor wont work if you're moving the car or siting on it.

This alarm has great features. The remote start works well, and you can get a seperate temperature module that will start the engine for you if the interior gets over a set tempurature.
The remotes look a little cheap but they have incredible distance. They work from at least 5x what my factory remote did.
