I bought 2 of these as replacement monitors for my van. The quality of the video is not good at all. Color is terrible and the contrast is bad too. I could overlook that as I'm not the one watching these, but rather they are for my young kids. I wouldn't want to watch anything on them personally though.
But the worst part is that the posts that go into the chair are connected internally to plastic brackets that are very easily broken. First of all, the headrests don't stay "upright" because the connections are too loose. The metal brackets clink and vibrate annoyingly as you drive around. But when one of my kids bumped against it, the plastic bracket broke and the entire headrest fell down. I see no way to fix these, so I have a couple of $100+ paper weights after only one road trip.
One last thing. It takes forever for these lcd screens to "warm" up. At first I thought it was defective because when it turned on, it was so dark, but then after about 15 minutes it slowly brightened up to a functional level.
I would not recommend this product unless you don't care about the video quality at all and if you can guarantee no one will bump it once they are inserted.
