AUX 3.5mm Ground Loop Isolator

The Axxess AGL3.5 is designed to eliminate ground loop noise (usually referred to as hum) and alternator whine over stereo 3.5 mm patch cables. Great for the car, the home stereo, and computer systems, where amplifiers and other electronics (such as crossovers and equalizers) are separate of the source. Both the 3.5 mm stereo male plug and 3.5 mm stereo female jack are attached to 11.5" long cables. Axxess' AGL3.5 does its job without the crosstalk interference (left and right channels bleeding together) common in other ground loop isolators.

Number of Channels
Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Monoblock amplifiers, also known as single channel, are designed to power one or more subwoofers. These amplifiers often have very high power ratings. On the other hand, multi-channel amplifiers power multiple speakers, usually at lower power ratings. 2-Channel and 4-Channel amplifiers can power car speakers or low powered subwoofers. Occasionally you might see a 5 or 6-channel amplifier that can power speakers and subwoofers at the same time. The most common setup is a monoblock amp to run subwoofers and a 4-channel amp to run door speakers. Check out our Knowledge Base for more information.

mehh, no difference, but my issue may require better ground

July 11, 2013

noticed a VERY slight difference, got rid of maybe 10% of the noise, but I think I actually have a really bad ground. Not worth the money really, just fix the underlying cause of the noise before resorting to this.

This device works great to eliminate ground fault noises between my laptop computer and audio mixer. The humming noise immediately went away when I plugged it in and at high volume levels, it's still very quiet. I'm planning on buying another one to use on my home system.

Works fine.

January 9, 2013

I bought this to reduce line noise from my Galaxy Nexus to my car stereo. It had an annoying buzzing, and the filter completely removed all traces of it. It comes with a length of cable, so it isn't a matter of just plugging both ends into the box. I could see as being a con or a pro. It didn't hinder me any.

Perfectly satisfied, a little pricey for what it does.

It worked for What I wanted

I used this to boost the sound for my outside speakers on my RV. I plug my iPod directly into the amp. Even with the $5 speakers that came with the RV , sound imprpovement was fantastic. Inexpensive and worth it to me.
