Number of Detected Bands
This number indicates the number of bands the radar/laser detector protects against. The term band includes different radars, lasers, and safety signals, among others. The higher the number, the greater the protection.

Yes
K Band
K Band is the most popular radar frequency band that is used today. It is able to detect speeds from a stand still location, or from a moving vehicle

There are very few radar guns in service in the U.S. capable of POP mode operation. If your radar detector is Pop Alert capable, you may notice an increase in Ka-band false alerts when POP mode radar detection is switched on.

Rock solid value!

No speeding tickets since purchase! This detector sounds off with voice and flashing lights! City mode warns without nagging! Should be great for seniors who can't hear the "chirps" most detectors put out! Easily customized at startup for what you want it to do or not do!

whistle too late

Wouldn't recommend for high speed driving receive two tickets coming from Pensacola, Fl running bout 90 don't give you enough time to brake your speed down before the STATE Trooper start smiling at you to close for comfort. The Cobra and Cobra Laser are better believe me I brought one the Cobra Laser Awesome.

Good for the money

July 28, 2011

This was the first radar detector i owned. It was a great detector at the time. If your strap for cash definitely buy this, but if you can shed out another 30 bucks purchase a cobra!

Dead as a doornail, lasted 4 weeks.

October 12, 2011

Second one I bought, first went dead after 3 years. This one now sits on my dash dead as Kelsey's Nutmeg. Needlessly complicated to use, continually caused my car fuses to blow. Waste of money.
