Unfortunately, it was not the cable that was the problem, it was the holding bracket where the cable plugs in to. The Garmin unit itself will not charge or recognize the power from the accessory plug and it has been just over the 1 year mark since my purchase (1 1/2 yrs) and my warranty expired.
