Cerwin-Vega HED-15SVC 15" Single Voice Coil
Product Features:
High Energy Design by Cerwin-Vega. The HED line
uses the hottest new materials technology - like vapor deposited pearl-mica
polypropylene cones - to provide drop in, drop dead awesome sound.
The HED subwoofers are designed to mount where
other woofers can't go. Just drop them into a compact sealed enclosure and you
have legendary Cerwin-Vega bass response, to go.
The HED subs sport a unique surround and Cerwin-Vega's
proprietary V-Flex suspension design. The V-Flex surround mechanically resists
lateral "cone drift" for perfect pistonic movement of the cone - a distinct
advantage particularly in high power handling. Composed of UV resistant
polyether foam, V-Flex resists weathering which can deteriorate and shorten the
life of the speaker.

This is a great sub for the money. Lots of bass and very boomy. This sub definitely handles frequencies down to the 30 with ease. I was surprised that it was shaking the heck out of everything for the price. If you are on a budget and are looking for loud, strong base, then you are looking at the right sub!

I upgraded to one of these because of an exellent deal I got on it, and to my surprise it was a boom machine for 40 bucks. Long story short my brother in law (being a real genius) wanted to borrow my sub to test out how a 15 would sound in his car - me figuring since he had good wiring and a good amp let him, he never set a cross over and shortly fried the coil. :(. for me though this sub tore through low freqs at 300 watts in a sealed box. not really any kick bass as i had it cut at 79, but i tried to cut it higher and it doesnt perform real well over 100 anyhow. this sub loves freqs below 50 - shook all muffler baffles loose, and review fell off 3 times whilst i used it. definately if your low budget and want it loud these things will fool people as to what u got.
