A NOTE FROM THE WEBMASTER:

WHILE WE HAVE SOLD NUMEROUS SONY AUX ADAPTORS WITHOUT COMPLAINTS, WE ALSO HAVE HAD MORE COMPLAINTS OF INCOMPATIBILITY COMPARED TO OTHER AUX INPUT ADAPTORS WE SELL.

WE CANNOT PROVIDE AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION FOR THE FOLLOWING:

A.) WHICH AUX SOURCES IT WILL WORK WITH AND
B.) WHICH SPECIFIC SONY MODELS IT WILL WORK WITH.

AS A SIDE NOTE, THE NEW 2004-2005 MID-LEVEL AND HIGH-END UNITS HAVE AN AUX INPUT BUILT-IN...CHECK THEM OUT!
The Sony Auxillary Input allows you to connect 1 audio auxiliary source (iPod, MP3 Player, DVD Player, etc) to any Sony head unit with CD Changer controls. The adaptor converts the CD Changer on the head unit to stereo RCA audio inputs.

Note: When using the aux adaptor, you will not be able to connect a CD Changer.

This does not work!

March 7, 2005

If you have a Sony head unit, this adapter is faulty in its design and does not work. DO NOT BUY THIS. The only thing available that is capable of allowing an auxiliary input (Ipod, DVD, etc.)on a Sony is the Sony XA-300, which is like $100 and totally impractical.

If your wanting to connect something to your car head unit, my suggestion would be to sell the Sony and buy a Pioneer, Kenwood, or Alpine, which have cheap auxiliary adapters readily availble and ACTUALLY WORK.
