This is a great system. I have these set up in my 1996 Bronco. I have an Alpine M-450 4 channel amp running them. These things are LOUD!!!!!! I can easily be heard coming. I would recommend these to anyone.

I will have to say first that this is my first boston acoustics speaker experience. I've always heard they were great! Now I am experiencing it first hand. I am not sure why they designed the crossover the way they did but, thankfully you can separate the woofer and tweeter crossover for easier mounting (which saved me a huge headache). I own a 2004 explorter sport trac and room in the doors is very limited but with the crossover separation I was able to mount them fairly easy. If you have a 5X7 factory speakers you can still use these. I knew I would be able to use the speaker mount that comes with the component set to make it work. This was the easiest of the installation process. The Speakers sound great and also look great with the tweeter mounted in the door where I flushed mounted it with the kit that comes with it. I strongly reccomend this item. The whole process of easy buying, super fast shipping, excellent customer service (thanks Chris) and smooth installation made this a worth while experience.

having had Boston in the past (10 years ago) knowing they were great then I bought the SL 60's along with the SX 60's. They are hooked up with the Rockford T400.4 and they rock for all kinds of music, though the SL 60's perform better than the SX 60's giving that the amp is over-powering the SX 60's is why. I would consider making front and rear (all SL 60's). Boston makes better, but "How much is enough"?
