The Kicker Solo-Baric L7 woofers continue to be the best sub in their class. The patented square-woofer technology allows for 18% more cone, which translates to more bang for your buck compared to competing round subwoofers. All new for the 2011 series is a redesigned and improved SoloKon cone. The new beautiful look was inspired by the big brother SoloX series, and it's making everyone at Sonic go crazy as it's tougher looking and better-performing.
In addition to the SoloKon improvements, the new L7 woofers also provide a much easier installation. The solid pole piece allows more heat sink capabilities and perimeter venting is built into the spider landing unlike previous years. This also allows for a shallower installation as you no longer have to account for venting through the back of the magnet. To make things even easier on the installer, Kicker moved the binding post to the corners of the woofer allowing for an easier connection when running the subs in parallel or series.

I've owned this sub for about 6 months and it really hits hard for a 8" subwoofer. I have it in my regular cab truck and I'm getting ready to put one in my supercrew.

I have a 2005 chevy silverado crew cab. I have very little room to put subs under my seat but I found a box with 8" squares cutout so I had to choose between 8" 2 solo barics or 2 10" circular subs and I'm really happy with my decision on buying these L7's! They bump just as hard as my friends setup with 2 12" subs. I'm glad I decided to buy these subs, the low mounting depth is a huge plus! Buy these if you are lacking space, it doesn't get better.

I was hesitant on buying a set of 8" subwoofers since before this I ran a pair of 15" RE Audio. But since these subs were the perfect size to go under my seat and I could have a back seat again I really am happy with them. I have had no issues with power handling what so ever. I have a US Amps 2000X running them and the subs sound great for just being so small. I would recommend these subs to anyone with space issues. These are defiantly ones that pack a punch.
