The Power of Thunder
MTX Audio has rolled out a new series of amplifiers for 2011. The new Road Thunder series will be available in 5 different models ranging from class D mono-block to 4-channel full range amplifiers. The brushed aluminum finish will go great with any vehicle, giving it a nice professional look. MTX has included some of their patented technology into this new line of amplifiers to assure product quality and efficiency. The Road Thunder series will introduce performance at an affordable cost.
The Road Thunder RT1000D is perfect for those who need some real juice. Rated at 1,000 watts RMS at 2 Ohms, this amplifier will compliment any two Dual 2 Ohm subs rated between 400-500 watts RMS each. Don't have two subs?, the amplifier will also provide enough power for any single Dual 4 Ohm sub rated between 800-1000 watts RMS. The class D Mono Block amplifier will encompass MTX's patented, Adaptive Class D topology and Smart Engage circuitry, technologies. Smart Engage circuitry will make installation into an aftermarket or stock audio system a breeze without the need of any additional adapters or converters. The Adaptive Class D topology will create a cleaner, crisper sound while eliminating interference generally found in Class D amplifiers. With these technologies the RT1000D will give out high performance and quality at an affordable price. With an included external bass control, the RT1000D is perfect for any system that really wants to roar like thunder.

I got this amp from a friend and let me tell you, it is a powerful amp. I have it pushing two mojo 10's and i'm hitting in the high 140s with it. Also dont starve it of power by only using 4 gauge, it takes direct 0 gauge in. It has never even got warm on me and i dont baby my system at all. The other great thing about it is that it is not a huge power hungry amp. My headlights would nearly shut off with my kicker 750 but not with this mtx rt1000D. But to get the full power out of it i would recommend a second battery. Hope this helps someone looking to buy this gnarly amp.
