JVC's KD Series Receivers
Getting more from an entry level car stereo can sometimes seems like an impossible task. However, the KD-HDR44 includes the features and system adjustments that you can expect from higher end units. One great feature to the JVC line of single DIN car stereos is the 3.5mm auxiliary input. The purpose of the front 3.5mm aux input is to connect your portable devices like iPods, MP3 players, smartphones, and other audio players. An Easy EQ 3-band equalizer is also built-in to the stereo and features 6 selectable tone curves. Each curve lets you adjust the sound of the music until you find the sound that fits your taste. Or you can adjust it yourself and save a user preset. On the back of the deck are 2 sets of 2.5 volt preamp outputs that provide clean output to an amplifier when expanding the audio system. For a entry-level car stereo that is anything but basic, consider the JVC KD-HDR44 for your next car.

This is a good radio. Ease of use could be better with better instructions. Typical of all JVC radios.

This car stereo is awesome I love it, highs are high, lows are really low. Very crisp, clean sound. I was looking around at how to find the cheapest car stereos and this lens has a lot of good info.

Clunky. Awkward menu. Lack of features You can get more for less. I have had many head units over the years and have been pleased with all of them. I thought I would be ok with this JVC product but I guess I was wrong. My old JVC deck was far better than this one and it even came from Wal-Mart. Go figure. Don't Get me wrong. It looks nice but it feels cheep and the menu is horrible. Glad it is just going in my jeep and I Will not be using it often. I got it as a gift so I will keep it but if it was up to me i would have went with something a little better. JVC has other models with allot more features but I question them too. I think there models from last year are probably going to be better. I hope they update this one soon. Oh and I forgot to mention. The display is very difficult to read during the day. Even with the brightness turned all the way up. I have it hooked up to a kicker amp so I can't rate the internal amp on it. My old one was very good but I would hesitate to say here. I do like the tuner in it though. It does work well and the HD radio is nice. I just wish there were more stations in my area. Well that is my two cents about this deck. Sonic was great with the order as always.
