I must say that this is an awesome unit with great capabilities. Sonic ships really fast as I received the unit in little less than three days. Furthermore, the shipping is free. Another plus is that the interface is very similar to that of an I-pod or I-phone. Furthermore, connection between these devices highly effective.
The Garmin navigation system with traffic assist also responds well to sudden changes in direction as a result of traffic. The unit is also very easy to install. There are no extra conduits like is seen in other units. The bluetooth and Navagation are inculcated into the head unit. As a result, it is just a matter of plugging in the navigation receiver and microphone to the unit. The harness for the radio was provided by Sonic for no extra charge. This is another major plus, in my opinion.
The only down side comes with the security function. The security function is only there to fool a criminal that the device is locked. In all actuality, there is no pass code if power is cut like is seen in other DNK and KVT models. All in all, it is a terrific buy. It looks fantastic in my 98 Toyota Supra.

I purchased this car receiver with very specific objectives in mind. First off I would like to say that I'm living in Japan and supporting the military. I went to Autobacs in Japan and they didn't have anything that could compare to this Kenwood, plus their prices were 3x as much for less features and their devices weren't in English. I really wanted a Garmin Navigation because I previously owned a Garmin Nuvi until some kids broke into my car and stole it, so that is why I wanted an in-dash unit. Other than that my objectives were:
- Radio must be in English
- Must be intuitive
- Bluetooth to pair with my iPhone for hands free talking
- Garmin Car Navigation
- Rear facing USB for a solid state hard drive I have with my MP3's on it
- DVD either on disk or read from SSD
- Sleek design that fits into my car
- Rear facing camera
I must say that this receiver fits all of those objectives. The only thing that I wish Kenwood would have done was unlock the device so I can install my, previously purchased, maps of Japan to load onto the device. Also the navigation has this annoying "agree" button every time the device loads up you must push the button to get the navigation. I really wish there was a way to turn that off. The reason I went with Kenwood is because it uses Garmin and Garmin seems to be the leader when it comes to Maps of Japan. Now I need to see if I can barter with Garmin and how much it will cost me to get the device unlocked so I can load the maps of Japan. This device will be nice for when I eventually move back to the States I will already have a device that I like and enjoy. I hope this review helps you in making your decision.

I would recommend this unit if you have plenty of time on your hands between functions. If you want to use your iPhone for music, you must buy the cable. Overall, my Motevo that I paid $379.99 for, had much better features. The Garmin GPS is excellent! Overall, this unit is waaaayyy out of date!
