I bought this radio to replace a Clarion CZ500. I liked the Clarion but it had static at low volumes, so I returned it and bought this based on a technical support technicians recommendation.
In all I find it to a quality radio. First there is no static at any volume. It sounds like the higher are better and I get more mid bass. It has HD radio built in, which takes a while to get used to. I love the fact you can turn off the sub preamps.
My only complaint would be the lighting. When I have full sun it is a little hard to see the display. Good unit for the money

The sound is fantastic and I love being able to plug in an MP3 player or other devices. However... AM reception is non-existent for all practical purposes and FM is not much better. I live in a major metro area and all I can reliably use the system for is pre-recorded music. For any radio reception I was far better off with the factory receiver.
I would not recommend this product to anyone who wants a usable radio.

I was given this as a Christmas gift and I love it! The HD radio sounds fantastic, my only complaint is that it occaisionally will switch back and forth from SD to HD which is kind of annoying. Other than that it is a great stereo to cap off my system and I highly recommend it. It has a rediculous amount of settings, so you can get exactly the sound you're looking for. It also comes with all of the wire harnesses and installation gear which makes it an even better buy.
