A New Kind of Rockford Power
Sonic Electronix is now carrying the brand new 2011 line of Rockford Fosgate Power T0 Series Car Audio Subwoofers. The Rockford Fosgate T0D412 12" Subwoofer has a peak power rating of 1400 watts and a RMS rating of 700 watts, which will produce some ground rumbling bass. The subwoofer is constructed with a kevlar fiber reinforced paper cone for added durability, and a vertical attach surround technique that will increase maximum output. This woofer is also equipped with a 3" Voice coil and a anodized aluminum heat sinking dust cap for heat dissipation and minimization of distortion. Add some bumps in your trunk and enhance your cars stereo system with this Rockford Fosgate T0D412 Power T0 Series Subwoofer.
SWIFT: Selectable Woofer Impedance Fused Termination
Making installation faster and easier, Rockford Fosgate developed SWIFT terminals. This system allows the nominal impedance of voice coils to quickly be configured in a Series or Parallel wiring configuration. Removing and inverting the center plug, a Series or Parallel wiring configuration is accomplished. The removable jumper also provides fused protection in severe overload conditions.
Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former
By using an anodized aluminum voice coil former on their subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate is able to dissipate heat from the voice coil more efficiently. A hot voice coil can melt the adhesive bonds, which will lead to eventual subwoofer failure. The aluminum voice coil former acts as a heat-sink to dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil cool during high SPL conditions.
Conforms to CEA-2031
Rockford Fosgate has built this subwoofer to conform to the CEA-2031 loudspeaker power handling industry standards. This means that you can trust the subwoofer to have the capacity to safely handle the continuous (RMS) power rating. Having a CEA-2031 power handling is important when matching a subwoofer to an amplifier because the power ratings are accurate.
Stitched Tinsel Leads
To improve the reliability and performance by reducing fatigue and possible shorting, Rockford Fosgate has stitched the tinsel leads to the spider. The multipoint periodic stitching lead wires reduce the mass of the tinsel leads to spread the stress over a greater area. This improves the reliability and performance of the subwoofer.
VAST: Vertical Attach Surround Technique
In order to increase the surface area of the cone without causing any installation issues, Rockford Fosgate designed the Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST). By redesigning the manner in which the surround adheres to the basket, these speakers gain up to 25% more effective radiating cone area. This improves the nominal efficiency and maximum output.

I've owned alot of subs and these are def my fav 12" by far. They're not expensive and hold descent power. Im pushing my pair with a rockford 1200d and a 2.2 farad cap and they sound amazing!! My wife hates it of course lol but definitely recommend these for the money!! They look better without the grills ill admit it but due to having a kid i kept the grills on.

I have two RF T0D412's in a 3cu./ft. sealed box (1.5 per chamber) running on a Hifonics HFi1500D wired to 1ohm along with a Stinger SPV69 battery, and these subs BANG!!! I listen to dubstep, hip hop, and rock all of the time, and these subs can get extremely loud on any given song.
These subs are actually very accurate as far as what i heard. Double bass was very fast and punchy. I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about.
Anyways, Sometimes you can't even turn the bass up all of the way for very long on some songs because of the sound pressure. I am so so so pleased with these subs. Drive around with these playing full blast and you'll turn heads wherever you go!! I have this setup in a '98 mazda 626 LX.
You won't be disappointed by these subs. If this sealed box setup can push enough air to vibrate, shake, and rattle everything in and on your car, including your eyeballs, skin, clothes and hair, imagine what they can do in a ported box!!! You're ears will probably pop!!
Seriously though you'll get such a headache. It's so worth it though.

I would reccommend you to do a lot of research before purchasing this sub. I bought this sub in a bundle package that came with an JBL amp and the wiring kit for a very reasonable price. I put it in a sealed box. At first, I was very pleased with it- it played hip hop and dubstep very nicely, but I listen to hardcore and metal as well. It's not very punchy! I need something that feels like I get kicked in the chest every time the double bass hits.
Now that I know more about subs and all the variables that go into getting the right one for you, I know I can do better.
