SoundStorm EV2.3000 2-Channel Car Amplifier

Sonic Electronix is now carrying the new 2011 line of SSL Evolution Series Amplifiers. These amps come in Monoblock, 2-Channel, and 4-Channel configurations as well as numerous different power ratings. Each one these SSL amplifiers feature dark gray anodized heatsink, soft turn on circuit, variable input gain control, 2-way protection circuitry, LED power & protect indicators, and much more.

The EV2.3000 version has an RMS power rating of 500 watts x 2-channels wired at 4 ohms and a Max power rating of 1500 watts x 2-channel wired at 2 ohms. It is equipped with nickel plated RCA level inputs & screw terminals and is powered by a MOSFET power supply. The Evolution Series amps have a wide variety of power and channel configurations for you to chose from.

Amazing amp

I have this amplifier powering two Kicker CVX 12 inch subs, and OMG, does this push em. Beat all of my friends without breaking a sweat even. A little large, but a truly gorgeous amplifier. Would HIGHLY recommend.

great amp for the price

Heres some info that I hope will help some of you decide if this is a good amp for you. First, if you don't already have an AGM BATTERY get one or a CAPACITOR if your on a budget, it really makes the sound quality 2x better. Second, the amp pushes two 12inch Pioneers (400watts rms each) model: TS-w308D4 and they hit hard. No kidding! I do have the subs wired in parallel @2ohms, and the amp does tend to over heat causing it to turn off, obviously to protect itself but i think that has to do with the weather here in hot a$$ phoenix Arizona. Otherwise I've never found it to be a problem in the winter. This amp is a champ when it comes to performance and sound quality, with the exception of the overheating which I resolved by folding down the rear 60/40 seats

Great so far!

Nice amp for price! not really sure how to wire it for different impedence. the manual makes little sense, unless this amp defies all car audio logic...after much trial and even more error, i have it wired correctly, and it does put out some major wattage!! 3000watts? probably not, but it's enough for my 2 Alpine Type R's. Lacks in sound quality slightly.
