The grill is doing what i wanted it for, nothing has touched the woofer. I recommend this product.

got this for a 15" dvc phoenix gold (tantrum edition) woofer over ten years ago.
it's outlasted 2 enclosures, a major crash, and three cars.
it's reflected countless damage to my sub from tools to feet and stupid little kids punching it (repeatedly for about a hundred miles with their feet)...
this grill has paid for itself many times over, and even though it's got a few scratches, it's still doing great.
I've removed and reinstalled it so many times that i lost the rubber ring years ago, but the outer edge fits perfectly inside the subs ring.
the metal can be bent with pliers to shape it into a smaller outer speaker ring too.
it has a good bevel to it that allows a speaker to extrude out a few inches. although i wouldn't put it over an Orion HCCA woofer with 4inches of excursion, i would recommend it for (almost) all others
mine came with 4 plastic clips that clamped it down, but i never used them, and put the speaker screws through the holes in this grill for a cleaner look.
overall, it's the mad-max proof woofer protector and i will always want one on all my future subs if i ever sell this one i will buy another.
one tip, to prevent debris from falling through the grill, place some tiny earth magnets on it to attract nails or screws (i was a carpenter), and if you want, you could spray glue over it and lay over a dust cloth to keep everything out.
value= it's paid for itself 100x over
look/design= i like it a lot
durability= this is the most durable cover ever made
features= actually a lot, it's form-able with pliers
ease of use= it might take a minute or two to perfectly align all your woofer holes with the square holes, but with washers its easy, and then just make a small alignment mark on both the grill and woofer ring before you take it off to swap out the boxes (because this will outlast the boxes).
final words.. this is the last grill you will need to buy, mine's almost 15 years old and still looks great, even though i used pliers on it, racked it with tools (including hammers), put magnets on it (to catch nails and screws), among other abuses i don't even know about...i just can't say how thankful i am to have it and after all this time, while i was looking for something newer, realize that there isn't anything better, even though i'm building a newer system, i'm going to re-use this ole grill...like i say, it's the last one you will need to buy.
