Dual SD12
This is a good sub for a small system. At first the suspension is very stiff but over time it will loosen up and this woofer be at it full potential. I have had mine for a year now and it sounds great, i only have it running on about 110 watts and it is awesome, especially for only 30 bucks. Just the other day i played some test tones from 5hz-70hz. The woofer took it like a champ, I heard no distortion and at the end of the 30 min test the coil wasnt even warm!

I have one on a dual 400 max amp running at 150 end and yes they hit hard and sound great but if you run it like I did it will blow and I have had it for a month now not a good idea.

Worth it, if you can find them. These that I am using are the 150 watt version (they are discontinued, but can be found on Ebay, and on closeout at O'reilly Auto Parts). I have 2 - 12" in the 150 watt (300 max) hooked up to a Dual XPE2700 amp, and it is plenty of power to drive them. I don't listen to hip-hop usually...mostly rock, techno, and country. These subs kick just fine, using the low-pass band and frequency switch on the amp. Also with the gain about 20% on the dial. These are in a full size Dodge Ram QuadCab, and can EASILY be heard & felt. I have another XPE4700 amp driving the door and dash speakers....but these subs make up for it. Just don't use any amps higher than 300 or 400 watts on these.

Running 2 of these in a ported box (1.68 ft3) & 50hz and these things slam. Running a 600W rms amp about halfway up and they hit hard with no distortion or burning smell. Best bang 4 the buck ever. Can be heard several houses away shaking windows. You will like it for a more entry level system

This sub is alright. I'd rather my old school MTX Thunder 8000 12"s, but it's a good deal. I've got mine in a "Frankenbox" 4 order bandpass bridged on a "dual" 400w amp and it sounds pretty decent for what it is (a value sub), but I'm sure my box is doing a lot if not most of the work.

This sub sucked, I had it for a while but hadn't hooked it up till about a month ago. I finally got it hooked up, was working fine, I was loving it then all of a sudden I had no bass on my way home work. I got home and checked it out but it was a loose wire, no big deal. I got that fixed then it stopped again. One of the wires completely blew up (yes they were the right gauge.) My friend fixed it about a week later, worked for another day then I checked again. Everything looked right till I took the sub out of the box. The wire that comes on the sub had been shredded! I was pissed but my friend said he would fix it, but he doesn't/didn't have the time to fix it. I finally decided to test the durability. I wanted to see if it would be able to handle the hit from a pickaxe straight to it. My thoughts were going to be no it definitely wont be able to handle it. It took the first shot like a champion, the second was a little more damaging, as in everything was smashed and that people is why you should buy a dual sd12 subwoofer.

i have one of these dual 12" subs and it sounds great...the best thing about it is its cheap and will sound good in any box you put it in its better then most name brand entry level subs..only con about this sub it the terminal hook ups mine broke so i had to wire it straight to wire going into the coil but still works great...i would recommend this sub over any other brand for daily bassing ive had it on several amps sounds best on sony explod's or even a autotek 1000 rt 2 channel amp bridged so dont be afraid to buy it.
